Hello everyone!
On Thursday, May 16, 2024, we are pleased to host John E. Agee, P.E., Vice President and Senior Principal of Terracon Consultants, Inc., as our featured speaker. His presentation is titled: “BNA Concourse A Ramp Extension: Geotechnical Modeling and Study on Deep Mixed Fill Use.”
Bio: John Agee, P.E. has over 30 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer working in Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, and Arkansas. During his career, he helped found the Nashville office of S&ME, Inc. before taking a position as the Regional Manager for Terracon’s Nashville and Memphis, TN offices. In 2019, he became Vice President of Terracon and in addition to his role as Regional Manager.
His professional experience includes geotechnical engineering, construction materials inspection and testing, forensic investigations, and litigation support. Specific experiences include investigations using both conventional and geophysical methods, non-destructive test methods, slope stability analysis, pavement evaluations and design, multi-story construction, karst geology, shallow and deep foundation inspections, multi-phased testing programs, airfields, USACE projects, TDOT projects, hydrogeologic explorations for landfills, contract negotiations, and project management.
Mr. Agee is the past chair for the ASCE TN Section Geotechnical Committee and the past chair for the ACEC of Tennessee Public Relations Committee. Additionally, he is on the advisory board for the Tennessee Technological University Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, and he has actively participated in the Nashville Chapter of AEG as a guest speaker over the years.
