We are excited to announce another in-person meeting! Our featured speaker for November 2022 is Mr. Christopher S. Green, P.G. His presentation topic is: “Graveyard Relocation.”

ABSTRACT: Chris Green discusses a Graveyard Relocation case study associated with a property in Horse Cave, Kentucky. The lecture discusses the onsite investigation leading up to the discovery of the grave site, the follow up archaeological and geophysical studies, the regulations related to graveyard relocation, and the grave relocation process. Mr. Green also shares some of the history behind the property and the deceased.

BIO: Mr. Green has extensive experience as both a technical project lead and a client development manager.  His ability to bridge the various disciplines on projects allows projects to be successful for all involved. 
Mr. Green’s technical experience includes monitoring well installation, multiple media sampling, closure of existing monitoring wells, and preparation of groundwater monitoring reports.  He has worked on projects involving Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); Underground Storage Tank (UST) regulations and is familiar with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sampling protocols.  He is familiar with environmental applications of geophysical methods including electromagnetic (EM), electrical resistivity (ER), gravity, magnetometer, and seismic reflection/refraction.  Additionally, Mr. Green has performed Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and has been involved with the design and implementation of a variety of treatment systems for in-situ remediation/bioremediation processes.

Mr. Green’s client development experience includes management of projects across service lines from environmental, geotechnical, materials testing and facilities.  He is the conduit for his clients and identifies the opportunities at an early stage to shepherd projects through completion.
