For candidates working toward completion of a Senior Thesis and/or Honors Research Program.

 

The Richard Chambers Memorial Scholarships

 

for Graduate Degree Programs

$1,000 scholarships for students working towards the Masters Degree

$2000 scholarships for students working towards the Doctorate Degree

 

 

Multiple scholarships may be awarded at each academic level.

Funding priorities for these scholarships will be directed towards research focused on topics including geologic mapping, structural, economic, engineering, environmental geology, geophysics, stratigraphy, paleontology, and paleo-ecology, implemented in (Northern) California or states immediately adjacent to (Northern) California. Recipients may/will be invited to present their research at a regular evening NCGS meeting in Orinda, California.
