A carefree time…“Mardi Gras” awaits you. Come, mingle with the crowd. You will be led by traditional strutting jazz musicians from the JW Marriott through the French Quarter. You’ll become an expert at gathering up Mardi Gras strands of yellow, purple and green beads and tossing them to the eager souls perched everywhere you turn. Your final destination is the Musée Conti Historical Wax Museum, where you can wander through history, legends and scandals that have combined to make “the Big Easy” a city that care forgot. While you are there, sample a traditional taste of Cajun style cuisine and enjoy the music of New Orleans, from the hip sounds of jazz and blues to the bouncy Cajun beat of “zydeco.” If you feel that spirit of adventure to visit the streets of the French Quarter for a continued night of fun, food and entertainment, you will find yourself in a pleasant state of mind. Come to New Orleans and experience Mardi Gras, the celebration where you can let go and “laissez les bon temps rouler” or “let the good times roll.”

Casual attire is acceptable, along with appropriate foot wear. Be sure to bring a light weight sweater or jacket for being near the river in the evening.
