About the Section
The Arizona Section was approved by the Board of Directors in September, 2007. The Arizona Section covers all of Arizona with the majority of meetings and members in the greater-Phoenix area. The AZ section is associated by proximity with the University of Arizona Student Chapter located in Tucson. The primary areas of practice for the Arizona Section members includes classical mining, geotechnology, engineering and environmental geology as well as hydrogeology, seismology and earthquake engineering.
