We will continue to hole meetings at Cafe Silvestre on 3300 South in Salt Lake. Dinner will start at 5:30 and the presentation will start at 6:30.
This month we will hear from Steve Bowman and Bill Lund with the Utah Geological Survey, they will roll out updated and new guidelines for investigating geologic hazards and preparing engineering-geology reports. Please join us for this important and informative meeting.
The Utah Geological Survey recently released updated and new guidelines for investigating geologic hazards and preparing engineering-geology reports. These guidelines are intended to provide recommendations for appropriate, minimum investigative techniques, standards, and report content to ensure adequate geologic site characterization and geologic-hazard investigations to protect public safety and facilitate risk reduction. The guidelines and accompanying investigation checklists will also be helpful to regulatory-authority engineering geologists conducting technical review of engineering-geology/geologic-hazard reports in support of the planning and development process.

If anyone is willing to step in and serve as chair we would be so appreciative! Please send suggestions for nominations or nominate yourself.
