HAGS/AEG September Meeting
September 10, 2015
MEETING TOPIC: The Structure of the Triassic Basin and its Deeper Influence on its Hydrogeology
Presented by: Gary M. B. Kribbs, P.G., President AEON Geoscience, Inc.
Abstract: Research of the Newark-Gettysburg Basin through PA and into NJ over the last 30 years has shown its structural history to be complex. While this environment isn’t typically one expected to produce high volume water wells, certain wells within the “Triassic Basin” of Montgomery and Bucks Counties nevertheless exhibit yields of between 500 to 3500 gpm. The (hydro)geologic environment responsible for these enigmatic wells will be covered in this presentation.
Speaker Bio: Gary M. B. Kribbs, P.G., is President & Principal Geologist of AEON Geoscience. He is a structural geologist with 33 years’ experience who specializes in hydrogeologic investigations.
